The Adventure Begins-Getting to the Airport
We've made it to the airport and are waiting for our first flight. It's actually been quite nice so far. Clark and I got most of our stuff packed last night. We did have to go to Wal-Mart early this morning to buy a couple more bags so that we could get 50 lbs in each bag. We left our house at 10 am this morning, stopped at the bank, and drove to Clark's parents house. We spent a few minutes there. Clark received a father's blessing, and I got a blessing from Clark. We said our goodbyes and hopped in the car. Clark's dad Steve drove with us, so that he could take our van home to his house. We got to the airport and checked in 8 pieces of luggage and two car seats. A few of our bags were a little over 50 lbs, so we had to do some re-arranging, but it all worked out okay. The airport is quite empty so we haven't felt pressured to hurry at all. After checking in our luggage, we took our double stroller, the kids, and our 7 carry-ons through security, which, because of empty lines, was actually pleasant. Now, as I mentioned earlier, we're at gate C13, just waiting for our flight. We're pretty early, so we don't know yet if everything is on time. We're praying it is, because we only have an hour and a half layover in Atlanta. So, there's part 1 of who knows how many parts in our trip over to England. Cheers!
