We May Be Doing Something Right

At night before we go to bed we have family prayer. It's been easy to do since we usually have no other nighttime commitments. Clark has also been trying really hard to remember to have the boys say their individual prayers as well. We usually get a complaint or two from Kimball, but after talking about it he succumbs and says his prayers.

This morning at 4:50, Kimball comes walking into our room. When this happens my first thought is "Why in the world would our child be waking up in the middle of the night when he's acually a great sleeper?" Then Kimball, in his 3 year old voice says, "Daddy, we forgot to say goodnight prayers." It's then that I repent and am thankful that some of the things we are doing as parents are taking effect.

That is so sweet that he thought of that. Half the time I crawl into bed feeling too tired to pray. Next time I feel like that I'll think of him.

When my boys stumble into my room I always panic because they tend to be sleepwalking pee-ers. Not a good thing!
