Tuesday Tell All-Love List

Here is the topic for today's TTA:

I'm sure you love your kids
I'll assume you love your husband
You'd better love your religion.

But............ what else do you LA-LA-LOVE.
Share your love list with us this week.

So here it goes...all the things I love + a few likes:

I love Google. Not only is blogging one of the best things in the world, but I have now discovered Google Reader. My iGoogle homepage includes Google Reader which is a way for me to keep tabs on when all of you post. I now have no excuse to not comment on your blogs, except for you private bloggers, I haven't figured that one out yet.

I love chocolate. Believe it or not I haven't always loved chocolate. But ever since having babies I've craved it more. And now that I've discovered European chocolate, I'm addicted. I'm afraid I won't be able to go back to the nasty, waxy, US stuff.

I love England. More info to come on this subject.

I love to read a good book. You know the kind that take you away from your own reality? Those are my favorites.

I love the sun. Being in England where the sun hardly shines at all, I realize now how much I love the sunlight on my face.

I love to take hot baths. There's something about relaxing in a really hot bath. In the winter time I do it about 2-3 times a week.

I love to sleep. I'm just one of those people who likes to get 9-10 hours of sleep. I don't always get that, but I'm happier when I do. Funny thing is I usually don't like to take naps, because then I have a hard time sleeping. It's best to just crash at the end of a long, hard day.

I love Pizza Express. A pizza chain here in England that has great pizza. In fact, it's the only place here where we've even found edible pizza.

I love Utah. I've lived there most of my life, and although I enjoy many other places, Utah will always be my home. For those of you who don't care for it, don't knock it. You can't beat a place where you're close to family, close to so many temples, have the best neighbors in the world, have some of the most beautiful mountains around, and get every season of the year. It will always be my home.

I love pedicures. I don't care about my hands so much, but when my feet get pampered, I'm in heaven.

I love close friends. I don't think I could be very happy without close friends. There's just something about the relationship between two women who truly know each other. It can't be replaced. Please don't take offense, but I'd like to mention a few of my dearest friends that I've had the longest and who know me as well as I know myself. I love Cheryl, my Hawaii roommate and what has felt like a sister. She's inspiring, she's encouraging, and she's uplifting. I can always ask for her advice, and she'll tell me her true opinion. She lives what people may think is a perfect life, but she would never want anyone to see her that way. She will be friends with anybody and everybody and sincerely love them and get to know them. She has the best memory of anyone I know. I think it's because she's good at paying attention and she cares about the things she sees, hears, and does. I love Angee, my post-mission roommate, but also dear friend from High School. I can completely be myself with Angee, because we're so much the same. Angee will always go get a Dr. Pepper with me (although it's a good thing she's in AZ, because I'm trying to quit-it's been about four months), and I've always been able to cry to her. She never tells me it's going to be okay, she just says, "I know, life sucks!" Now that's a true friend. I love Jessica, my pre-mission roommate (funny how all of these have been roommates). But my friendship with Jessica goes way back. We became friends at about the age of 13. She lived in AZ, and I in Utah. We were penpals all through jr. high, high school, and part of college until we lived together. I love Jessica because we love the same things. We both love DP and red vines. We both love the same shows, in fact she kept me updated on my shows while I was on my mission (no worries, I was still focused). We are both very structured, and we both have a tendency to be somewhat bossy. Not in a bad way, we just both like to have control so that we get things done our way (which is usually the right way). She's such a good friend that she won't even get offended at that last comment.

I love wireless. Whoever came up with wireless anything is a hero in my book.

I love Disneyland. It truly is the happiest place on earth. I'm counting down the months until we go in September.

I love Dr. Oz. His book You: The Owner's Manual is amazing and has really changed the way I feel about my health. Everything he says just makes sense, and I like that.

I love cuddles. Kisses are fine, but there's just something about the safety felt in a cuddle.

I love family. Not only my own, but my parents, brother, and sisters. I'll even give a love to my extended family and in-laws.

I love nursing. Not the actual act of nursing, but the fact that I've finally been so successful at it. I never thought I'd say that. I hated it more than anything with my first two, and there are times even now when it's not my favorite thing in the world. But Addilyn has been so much easier to nurse than my other two. It hasn't been stressful at all, well, once we got it figured out. I did want to give it up in the first month, but it's going so much better now. I can actually see myself lasting a year with this one. I always used to mock the mothers that said it was a good bonding moment for mother and baby. Although I don't necessarily feel more bonded with Addi when she's eating, but because she's able to nurse well, I find myself happier with her and happier with myself.

There are so many other things that I love:

  • shopping (when I've got the money)
  • getting my hair done
  • Wal-Mart
  • driving on the left side of the road
  • completing projects
  • watching TV (love reality shows)
  • working out ( I didn't used to, but it just feels so darn good afterwards)
  • eating out
  • doing temple work
  • going to Relief Society
  • working with the Young Women
  • teaching 1st grade
  • gardening
  • learning about anything new
  • walking
  • BYU
  • volleyball
  • being around other people
  • playing cards and games
  • cooking/baking
  • make-up
  • children's literature
  • traveling
Man I love a lot of things! And I'm sure there are more that I'm just not thinking of. I must be pretty lucky to have so much love in my life.

That kind of a list would be really hard for me to make so I'm really impressed. Too many things I love, I guess. BTW, we changed our trip to Utah and will now be arriving on the 23rd and staying for a whole week which gives us plenty of time to hang. Can't wait!!

Ditto to all your praises of Cheryl.

How in the world I am supposed to follow up on that?!! It was so unexpected, and heartfelt and sweet. You silly girl made me cry.

You must know that I love you too! You WERE the sister I never had. You got me through some rough times, good times, sat a my book at my wedding, taught school with me- we seemed to be insparable. And I wouldn't have had it any other way. You of all people have seen my good, bad and ugly. That is the true mark of a GREAT FRIEND! Thank heavens for blogs which allow us to share in the good times and not so good times even now.

I do have to say that I must be in dire need of some "keepin' it real posts" if anyone thinks I have it together. I think most of my memory comes from Google. No joke! And my crazy monkey girls, boys who avoid homework like the plague, my horrible lack of showering until 5 PM and Rich's insane work schedule are proof enough I have a lot to work on!

I LOVE YOUR GUTS AJ!! Thanks for all the kind words. You my friend and my hero in so many ways. Love ya!

PS Loved all the words about Jessica, I remember her from WAY back and ditto to Angee's stuff. She's a doll.

I loved your entire list. I couldn't live without HOT showers/baths. That is what I miss most when I am pregnant.

I love the sun (we both will be having to get skin cancer screenings after our time in HS and Hawaii!).

I love to sleep, but never get enough. I think that is why I have a pounding headache and my eyes aren't working so great today.

I love pedicures too! We'll book one together next time I'm in town.

I love that you love Wal-mart. I swear I should do their commercials since 90% of our money goes there and of course I love Disneyland. Another awesome trip we should plan.

Gotta go clean up dinner (or what's left of it smeared on the floor!) Love ya!

Me again...

Just in case you don't check back on my comments. Project Runway is on Bravo (cable) and is a show about clothing designers. The host is Heidi Klum and the judges are Michael Kors and Nina Garcia fashion editor of Elle magazine. These people are amazing at what they can create.

And I'll have to put Amsterdam on my list of places to visit. You took the photo of me in front of the Water Lilies painting in Honolulu. I still have it in my photo album. Good times!

And I was thinking back to the first time I met you and I think it was when I was in 6th grade and you, me and the Mendenhall (might have spelled that wrong!) girl ran the Mountain View Hospital Fun Run in Payson. Do you remember that? Obviously we were in the same school for 6th and 7th grade, but that is my first real memory of you. Ok, that was like 19 years ago. Oh My! Hard to believe we got back THAT far!
