In less than 2 days,

my hubby comes home from England. He's been there on business for the past 9 days already. I think this might be the longest we've been apart. The first week was ok, because my sister was in town and my mom helped out a lot, but they both left on Sunday to go to Disneyland. Now I need a break from the kids.

Being apart stinks!! Rich has to live in DC for a month (Feb. 09) for extra training. Every radiology resident has to do it at some point during their 4th year. I just wish ours was during the summer, then I could have hightailed it home. Oh well. Thank heavens it get dark early then, so they'll go to bed by 9 PM. I hope!

Good luck on your final two days. I just hope you get great treats from him (chocolate) and something fun from Disneyland. You deserve it!

Oy! If you haven't duct taped them all to the wall yet, I'd consider it a successful finish to the trip!

Hang in there. And then run screaming out the door when he gets home. Head straight for Cold Stone. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200.

First, my apologies for the not so great pictures at Chuck E. Cheese.  I'm still trying to figure out photography indoors without a great flash. Man, Chuck E. Catch Up, Part 2

These events aren't in chronological order. They're just in the order of the way the pictures uploaded to the post. House & Yard: After four years of living in this house, we've finally gotten around to finishing the yard. We built this house, so we had to start from scratch. We were doing a little at a time. Every year when we'd get our taxes back, we'd do something big on the yard. This year we decided to bite the bullet and just get the rest finished, and I am so glad we did. We had grass in the back, but that was it. No fence, no playground, no trampoline, no borders, no patio. Here's what the back of the house looked like before: We knew we always wanted a deck, so we finally had our neighbor build us one. When it was almost finished, our boys didn't like to go out on the deck because their feet got too hot (it's west facing). So we decided to have our neighbor add a roof to the deck.
