Catch Up, Part 1

Since we've been home from England I haven't had near the time I would have liked to spend blogging. For this reason, I'm behind on quite a bit of the pieces of our lives. I am now planning to do a couple of big catch up posts, for my own record. I don't expect you all to read everything, I doubt Clark will even read it all. It may take me a few days, but I'm determined to get caught up with the important family things, so that I won't feel guilty for posting about the ridiculous things I'd like to post about everyday.

A few pics from our plane trip home:

The kids did really well on the plane ride home. We first flew from London to Atlanta, I drugged the kids with Benadryl, but it hardly worked. Sammy took one small nap, but they were very well-behaved. Here's a picture of the boys pretending to be asleep.

Clark and I were really tired. We'd been up since 3 or 4 in the morning.

Luckily the plane wasn't full, so the boys could play around and not worry too much about bothering people.

We had to go through customs in Atlanta which meant we had to get all of our luggage. I think we had 10 check-ins, 10 carry-ons, a double stroller, and three car seats. That was not easy, but we made it with a little help. The flight from Atlanta to SLC was relatively easy. It was the middle of the night, London time, so the boys slept through the whole thing (as shown above).

Addi reaches:

We got home from England on Addi's 3 month birthday. Two days later she started reaching for the toys in front of her. She'd never done that before.

Addi's Blessing:

Addi was blessed on March 2, my brother Jake's birthday. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful blessing. Her given name in the blessing is Addilyn Joy Pew. I took notes, but of course I can't find those notes. Some of the men standing in the circle were, Clark, Dan Fish, Steve Pew, Tyler Pew, Jim Phillips, and Jeff Pew. Those are the ones I can remember. Here are some pics:

Easter Holiday:

We went to Arizona for Easter Holiday to visit Grandma Shill. It had been a year since the boys had seen her and she had never seen Addi. It was a fun trip. The boys loved Grandma's house, and they loved her. She's 92 and she's definitely showing her age, but we're glad she's still around for my children to get to know. While we were there we played DDR and Guitar Hero on the Wii, had a great Easter, and met up with some of my family and friends. One of the things we did was go to Makutu's with my friend Angee, my cousin Michelle, my mom, my aunt Georgia, and Grandma Shill.

Happy Anniversary!

Clark and I celebrated our 5th anniversary on March 28th. It's funny that we've only been married for 5 years when all of our friends have been married much longer. Five years and three kids. Kind of crazy! We didn't do anything special, but we got to spend the evening together, just the two of us. Happy Anniversary Babe! I love you and am so grateful to have you in my life.

Conference Weekend:

On Sunday of conference weekend, we ate breakfast at my parent's house, then went up to visit Clark's parents. Afterwards, we went up to Salt Lake to visit my mission president and his wife. They were in town from California for conference. It was fun to see them. We love them so much. They have just been called to go back to Brazil to be the legal counsel for the Church. They will be leaving in August and will be living in Sao Paulo for three years. We're hoping to go and see them sometime during that period.

Favorite Food:

While my parents were visiting us in England, my dad made us ribs. Kimball loved them. Now that we're home and see my parents all of the time, Kimball is always asking my dad if we can have ribs. They just love them.

Nap Time:

We finally took Sammy's pacifier away, or as he called it, a "minnie". Since then, he's also given up naps (a sad day for me). But he's still really tired. So one day I noticed it was quieter than normal and I walked around the house to find Sammy like this:

Speaking of Sammy:

We're still trying to figure out how this guy thinks. He's so funny. One evening he had been playing with a toy where you push a button and put a helicopter type plastic blade in the toy. It spins it really fast. When you release the button, the helicopter blade goes flying in the air. Well, we heard him screaming and apparently Sammy had gotten his face a little too close to the spinning thing and it shaved off a little piece of the tip of his nose. The next day, he insisted on a bandaid. Let's just say it's not the easiest thing to put a bandaid on the tip of a nose, but he had to have it. He wouldn't take it off. He even slept with the bandaid on during his nap. The following pictures are of Sammy with his bandaid on after he'd gotten up from his nap and had a drink. You can't tell me these pics aren't hilarious.
