Round 2- This Time with Just the Girls

Nearly 15 years ago, Clark, the boys, and I loaded up as much as we could and moved across the world to England where Clark’s company was opening a new office.  It was an adventure filled with every emotion imaginable.

This week, we begin a similar adventure with the girls.  Our bags are mostly packed, and we will soon be off to Washington DC, where Clark will begin a new phase of life as a foreign officer for the Department of State.  We have yet to find out where our first post will be.  June 23 is flag day for the Foreign Service.  On that day, we will receive our first assignment.  It will mostly likely be a Portuguese speaking country, since that is the language test Clark passed.  Some of the options are: Portugal (not likely), Angola, Mozambique, São Tomé and Príncipe, Cape Verde, or one of five locations in Brazil.  Of course, Clark and I would love to go to Brazil since we both served our missions there.  However, wherever this new job takes us, we will make the most out of it.

**Disclaimer**

I’m going back to blogging in order to update the many family and friends we have that would like to keep tabs on our adventures.  Most of these posts will be about the many experiences we’ll have while away.  I intend to document the good and the bad, but I expect a majority of these posts to be fun and exciting.  I am in no way trying to ignore the common hardships of life, as I’m confident we will have many, but this blog will be to focus solely on our travels, our experiences, and our lessons learned during the next few years.  If you are my close friend and wouldn’t mind letting me vent about those hardships every now and then, please call me.  I’m sure I’ll have plenty to say.
