A Conversation with Addi

As she came into bed with me this morning, I was reading a scripture about charity.  I read it to her and I told her I loved her.  The rest of the conversation went something like this:

M: I love you.
A: I wish I could keep you forever.
M: Guess what?  You can, because Mommy and Daddy got married in the temple, so we can be together forever.
A: But when I'm 16 I can't live with you anymore. (We've talked before about how she won't live with us when she gets married- she wasn't super excited about this.)
M: Well, you can live with us for a little longer than that, but you're going to live with friends when you go to college.
A: But I don't want to, I want to live with you.
M: I think you'll change your mind about that, but if you want to live with us when you go to college you can.
A: But I'll have to be there all the time and it will be so long.
M: No, honey, you just go to class somewhere close, like BYU.  It's just like how you go to pre-school now.
A: But they don't have any snacks at college.
M: You just take your own snacks with you.
A: Oh, okay.
