Help!

This has to be one of the cutest faces in the whole world. Seriously, Addi is so stinkin' cute that it's hard to get mad at her. Except at night. She's killing us. She's never been a great sleeper, but we moved her to a little bed, and now she is a nightmare. She wakes up at least once a night. If she wakes up anywhere close to 5am, she's up for the day. Once she's up, she doesn't shut up either. She talks really loud about how she's hungry and how she wants breakfast and cereal and how her "back hurts so bad". It's really rather annoying. But now she's waking up a few times a night. I feel like we're past the stage where we should let her cry it out. I mean, she'll be two in a few weeks. I have no idea why she is waking up. We tried cutting her naps short during the day and then letting her stay up later at night. That didn't help. We tried making sure she ate right before bed so she wouldn't get hungry. That didn't help either. We haven't tried putting her back in a crib. Is that my only option? If it's really going to work, I wouldn't mind doing it, but I'm not convinced it will work. Anyway, it's killing both me and Clark. I have to say, that Clark is usually the one getting up with her, only because I'm better at ignoring her. But I do get up with her sometimes, and she's so loud that the whole house knows when she's awake. So, I need help. Any ideas?

I really do love this little ballerina dearly (the picture is of her trying to be a ballerina). I can't imagine my life without her. She makes me laugh multiple times throughout the day, just because of the things she says. As I said earlier, she's not quite two and she's got a vocabulary that would put some three-year-olds to shame. But it's like her fangs come out at night and she turns into a needy, stubborn girl. Okay, she's needy and stubborn during the day too, but not to the extreme she is at night. I would appreciate any and all thoughts you may have on the topic. I'd even be willing to let someone take her at night (hehe).

Wow, that is tough. I would put her back in the crib, but I really don't have advice. I wore a harness to bed for years when I was little because I would get out of bed and go outside. It sounds horrible, but my mom figured that is safer than getting hit by a car. Is her room close to everyone else? Good luck!

P.S. she really is absolutely adorable.
When you said you'd start to regularly blog you meant it! We still haven't moved Noah to a bed and I am dreading it! It will be forced upon us soon enough though. She really is adorable.

Not being a mother (and being much better with the teenage crowd than with small children), I can offer no advice for you. But I will say good luck and as my mother always told me, "This too shall pass."

And thanks for commenting on my post about my sugar freak out!!! It's under much better control. AND I'd LOVE to chat about what you are doing. And seriously, we have to hang out this time when I'm in Utah. Sorry about the summer. I'm lame...no excuses!

turn the door knob around and lock her in. she will cry...a lot. but it worked for christian and now we just have to threaten to close the door and he won't even think about getting out of bed.

i know this sounds harsh, but it worked in 3 nights. good luck!

Neleah had the same problem! And about the same age! I don't know how we eventually solved it, but somehow she stopped. I know lots of help :) Good luck figuring it out!

Wow, that is a hard one. I might also go the locking her in route, but preferably sometime you can have the boys stay with grandma and Clark's out of town. :-) Sounds like the waking is just a habit, and she seems like a busy girl. She really is so cute, though!

I vote for the crib. I made my boys stay in the crib until they learned to climb out themselves. By the way, your "pecker post" made me pee my pants I was laughing so hard.
